Sayed Ali Khamenei: Saudis will swallow the dust in Yemen (ENG SUB)

Address by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran - April 9, 2015

Warning to Saudis

In this speech, Sayyed Ali Khamenei condemned the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen, comparable in all respects to the many Israeli aggression against Gaza: the same savagery which, according to him, will lead to the same issue: a bitter failure for the oppressors. Is the House of Saud, agent of Western imperialism in the Middle East ever since its creation, just like Israel, coming to its end? Hopefully, as we hope that Yemen will end up fully joining the Axis of Resistance.

As for the issue of Yemen, the Saudis have established a bad tradition in the region. Of course, they have made a mistake. Today, what the government of Saudi Arabia is doing in Yemen is exactly the same thing that the Zionists are doing in Gaza. This issue has two aspects: one is that it is a genocidal crime. It is a crime that can be pursued by international authorities. They kill children and destroy houses, infrastructure and national sources of wealth. Well, this is a big crime. This is one aspect of the issue.

The other aspect is that the Saudis will suffer a loss on this matter. They will suffer a loss and they will not achieve any victory. There is a very clear reason for this. The reason is that the military capabilities of the Zionists are several times more than these so-and-so Saudis. The Zionists are much stronger than them. The Zionists too had military capabilities. And the camp against them was a small strip of land, namely Gaza. But the camp against the Saudis is a country which is comprised of tens of millions of people. It is a people and a vast country that has stood up against the Saudis. If the Zionists can achieve victory in Gaza, the Saudis too will achieve victory in Yemen. Of course, even if the Zionists achieved victory, the chances for the Saudis to achieve victory in Yemen would be zero. In the present time, their chances are less than zero. So, they will definitely receive a blow. Without a doubt, their noses will be rubbed in dirt.

We have many differences with the Saudis on different political issues. But we always said that the Saudis behave with tact and gravity in their foreign affairs. But they have lost this tact and gravity. A few inexperienced youth have taken the affairs of that country in their hands and they prefer savagery to tact and maintaining appearances. This will be to their disadvantage. I warn the Saudis. Stop these criminal actions are commiting in Yemen. This is not acceptable in the region.

Of course, America defends and supports them. This is in America's nature. They support the oppressive side on all matters in the world. They advocate for the bad person instead of advocating for the oppressed. This is in their nature. They are acting in the same way on the issue of Yemen, but they will receive a blow and they will be defeated. Now, they are creating uproar by saying that Iran has interfered in the affairs of Yemen. Of course, this is interference! Just because we are saying a few words about this issue, we are interfering! But the fact that their criminal warplanes have created an insecure environment for Yemen is not interference. They are finding silly excuses for their own interference. These excuses are not acceptable in terms of international logic. Neither the people nor God will accept such excuses. So, this is what they need to do: they should stop committing such crimes and creating such disasters as soon as possible.

The people of Yemen are a great, ancient and historic people. They have a millennia-long history. These people have the capacity and capability to decide the fate of their own government. Of course, some people have tried to bring about a power vacuum and to create uproar. They want to create the same events that have unfortunately taken place in Libya - today, there is a very bad and regrettable situation in Libya. But fortunately, they failed to do so. The religious and enthusiastic youth of Yemen who believe in the bright path of the Commander of the Faithful (peace and greetings be upon him) managed to stand up against them. Shia, Sunni, Shafi'i, Zaidi, Hanafi and all types have stood up against the enemy's invasion and by Allah's favor, they will achieve victory. Victory belongs to the people.

Dear God, help our brothers - wherever they are in the world - to achieve victory. Dear God, humiliate and defeat the enemies of Islam and the enemies of Muslim peoples wherever they are in the world. Dear God, familiarize us with our responsibilities. Dear God, enable us to carry out our responsibilities. Associate the immaculate soul of our magnanimous Imam (r.a.) with his saints. Associate the pure souls of martyrs with the immaculate soul of Hazrat Siddiqat at-Tahirah (God's greetings be upon her).

Greetings be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings.

Yemen Wars, 1962-2015: Gamal Abd al-Nasser denunces the House of Saud, Sissi submits to it (ENG SUB)

Excerpts from Gamal Abd al-Nasser’s speeches from 1962 to 1966, during the North Yemen War opposing the supporters of the deposed king Muhammad al-Badr, backed by Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Britain, and the revolutionary Republicans, supported by Nasser.

Today’s Egypt, vassal of the House of Saud and member of their coalition against the current popular uprising in Yemen, suffocating Gaza together with Israel, fell into an unfathomable abyss of servility and is very far from its glorious past...

Gamal Abd al-Nasser : [...] The battle of Yemen is our battle. Yemen's revolution is our revolution. [...]

The revolution began on September 26th (1962). As of September 27th, the King Saud had a crisis of hysteria, and he began sending weapons to Najran and Jizan (border cities). [...]

The Arab people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this Arab people has responsibilities. They are called the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but it is not the people who chose this name. They are a people of a region of the Arabian Peninsula which has always been called Najd and the Hijaz. But will the Arab people agree to take up arms against the revolution? Perhaps those who will be compelled to do so will take up arms. Perhaps mercenaries will take up arms. Perhaps reactionaries will take up arms. Perhaps opportunistic people will take up arms. But free men, will they take up arms? [...]

We have suffered losses, and I'm going to reveal the exact numbers. From day one, until yesterday, our losses were 136 officers and soldiers. 21 officers and 115 soldiers. Any of their shoes has more dignity than the crown of King Saud [of Saudi Arabia] and King Hussein [of Jordan]. [...]

Our present Yemen Arab force will work to end the current agression, then it will also work to end the bases of aggression. And by the bases of aggression, I do not mean the Arab people in Saudi Arabia, but I mean the bases of aggression by Saudi princes and kings against the Yemeni revolution and against our Arab force. [...]

May 1st, 1966

Gamal Abd al-Nasser : [...] Will the reactionary rulers of Saudi Arabia manage to break the legitimate hopes and enthusiastic dreams burning in the hearts of thousands of young people of the Arabian Peninsula? Never! The reactionary Saudi leaders will never be able to achieve this. […]

June 23, 1966

Gamal Abd al-Nasser : [...] We observed during the past year a total cooperation between Arab reactionary leaders and colonizing forces. There is a clear cooperation and solidarity between them directed against Arab nationalism and Arab revolutionary and liberation movements.

Suspicious arms contracts are concluded and they are directed against the Arabs and not against enemies of the Arabs. The proof is that the weapons supplied to the Arabs are the same as those provided to the enemies of the Arabs. Those who arm Israel are the same who arm Saudi Arabia and the reactionary states in the region.

You have read the information published yesterday on the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Britain, according to which Britain will provide them with British planes. And of course, in Saudi Arabia, there are US military bases and British military bases. [...]

June 26, 1966

Gamal Abd al-Nasser : [...] I do not imagine for one second that the Saudi kingdom will ever fight in Palestine, with American and British bases on its soil. Saudi Arabia should first of all free itself of US military bases and British bases. Only then could they head towards the Liberation of Palestine. [...]

December 23, 1963

Gamal Abd al-Nasser : [...] (Anti-Saudi outbursts in the audience) We have already spoken of Saud and we know their story from beginning to end. And ... you know .... It's a sin to mangle the dead. [...]

[Let us now see the new President Sissi, presented by the servile Egyptian media as Nasser reborn, bowing to the Saudi king, Saud al-Faisal, Bandar (Bush) Bin Sultan, etc.]

King Fahd: Welcome, welcome President. How are you? Well I hope. May God preserve you and give you long life!

Sissi: Thank you!
